Sainsbury's - the supermarket giant is providing 150 opportunities on its trainee manager scheme to those with two 'A' levels or more. Training lasts a year and involves learning how to run a department under the supervision of an experienced manager, and completing courses in customer service as well as commercial and management skills. The starting salary is £18,000 and the company says academic qualifications are less important than being keen.
Tui travel - the travel agent needs 31 people across the UK in both full and part time sales and management roles, plus some admin and finance support.
Virgin holidays - it's a good month for those wanting to get into the travel industry as Virgin is also recruiting for September and October starts. It needs sales and IT staff for its customer centre in Crawley, West Sussex, as well as sales advisers nationwide and apprentices who are keen to join the company.
H&M - the high street clothing retailer needs full and part time sales staff across the UK, as well as department and store management staff, and visual merchandisers who are responsible for putting together eye-catching window displays.
Harris and Hoole - the coffee shop chain is growing quickly, and has 100 full and part time jobs available at new openings in Sunbury-on-Thames and New Malden as well as existing outlets in London, Surrey and Hertfordshire.
